7-Day Trails Guide Workshop

The Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA) accredited Trails Guide Workshops are conducted from our Tented Camp in the Timbavati PNR, part of the Greater Kruger National Park. They operate over a period of 7 days, the objective being to engage in intensive activity and discussion on approaching dangerous game on foot and logging walking hours and dangerous game encounters towards your FGASA Trails Guide qualifications (lead and Apprentice) under experienced mentors and assessors. Strong emphasis is placed on the ethos surrounding Trails Guiding, the necessary bush skills required for multi-day Trails and holistic environmental interpretation.

The 7-day workshop will be facilitated by Brenden Pienaar, Wayne Te Brake and/or Leighton Barnard. This is an unmatched opportunity for Trails Guide candidates to be intensively mentored by experienced and active FGASA Trails Guides and Mentors. Visit the ‘Our Guides’ page to view a comprehensive description of each Trails Guide’s qualifications and experience.
